Alan M Hunt (British, b.1947) is widely regarded as one the world’s leading contemporary wildlife artists. Beauty and the Beast, is a study of a lion and lioness, limited edition lithographic print in colours, signed in pencil to margin. This is an artist’s proof number 2 of 95 (in pencil).

It is framed and donated to Education Africa by the Sampson family, who own Hertfordshire Zoo (formerly Paradise Wildlife Park), from their personal collection. The reference material used for this image was of Blanco and Mana, lions that lived at Paradise. Alan Hunt was a regular visitor and captured many of the lions and tigers that lived at Paradise in the 1990’s.
